  • Review USMLE Bulletin for latest updates
  • Ensure your eligibility to register and take the USMLE exam
  • Log in the registration via your med school and the step
  • Make sure the name on your application matches exactly with the government issued identification
  • Choose eligibility period carefully
  • Submit application and all required documents/ forms
  • You will receive your scheduling permit after the application is processed via email
  • You can prepare for USMLE using free practice materials or by registering at Prometric test center or purchase NBME self-assessment

Application Updates
  • OET@Home is limited to those live in a country with no physical test center.
  • Program signalling to continue.
  • Application fee charges for 2026- First 1-30 applications will cost $11 per application, means $330. Those after 31 and above costs $30 per application
  • The ECFMG charges a $165 ERAS Token Fee
  • NRMP has its own 2026 Match registration fee as $300 for institutions, $100/ program track, and $75 per certified position.
